Ongoing Education

  • CFP® professionals are required to complete 30 credit hours of continuing education (CE) each reporting period: 2 hours of CFP Board-approved Ethics CE and 28 hours of General CE.

  • NAPFA members must complete 60 CE’s in the two-year CE cycle, with the option to report 58 CE’s in any Core or Elective Area subject(s) with no CE minimums or maximums; at least 32 of these CE’s must still come from approved sources. An approved 2-CE Ethics course also remains mandatory.
